The first defining feature of this knife is its blade, which is precision machined from Crucible® CPM® REX® 45—a super-high-speed particle metallurgy tool steel enriched with large volumes of cobalt, tungsten, molybdenum, and vanadium. CPM REX45's high cobalt content increases its attainable hardness, while its vanadium carbides provide high wear resistance, fine grain size, and increased toughness. The PlainEdge™ blade of this knife is full-flat ground for superior edge geometry and proudly includes a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. It is also cloaked in a handsome, black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.

Perhaps even more unique, the stunning handle of this knife features scales crafted from solid copper. Painstakingly machined to reduce weight and house the stainless steel lock bar that is the heart of the knife's patented Compression Lock® mechanism, they provide a rich, traditional look that few other materials can equal. The copper scales are also home to a four-position pocket clip that offers a choice of left or right-side tip-up or tip-down carry. To complement the blade's DLC coating, the clip and all other handle hardware also have matching black coatings.
