The most distinctive feature of this knife is its blade, which is crafted from CPM® 10V®, the very first member of Crucible's family of high-vanadium tool steels to be made by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process. CPM 10V's finely tuned vanadium content provides exceptional wear resistance while maintaining toughness and machining characteristics comparable to D2 and M2. Often used as a replacement for carbide in demanding tooling applications, it is also a favorite material of performance-oriented custom knifemakers, most notably Spyderco collaborator Phil Wilson. The blade of this elite knife takes full advantage of CPM 10V's remarkable properties with a full-flat grind and a PlainEdge™ cutting edge that provide outstanding edge geometry and low-friction cutting performance. While CPM 10V makes an outstanding blade steel, please note that it is a true tool steel—not stainless—and must be maintained properly. 

Not to be outdone, the handle of this Lil' Native proudly features coyote brown G-10 scales and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip that offers a choice of left or right-side, tip-up carry. The scales are peel-ply textured for a non-slip grip and painstakingly machined to house nested stainless steel liners that form the foundation of the knife's high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism. 

This remarkable Exclusive is available in two versions—one with a satin-finished blade and brightly finished handle hardware, and one with a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating and matching black-coated liners and handle hardware.
