One of the premier steel choices for high-performance custom blades and knives used in competitive cutting, CPM M4 is a special purpose high speed tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. Its sophisticated alloy composition, high vanadium content, and extremely fine grain structure give it exceptional wear resistance and toughness—properties that translate to outstanding edge retention and impact resistance in knife blades. To make the  blade of this knife even more unique, it is cloaked in a non-reflective black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.

The handle of this elite knife showcases Blade HQ's signature natural-colored G-10 scales. These peel-ply-textured scales provide a non-slip grip and are precision machined to house the nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners that form the foundation of the knife's patented Compression Lock® mechanism. To ensure convenient carry, the handle includes a reversible deep-pocket wire clip that supports left or right-side tip-up carry.
