The first defining feature of this knife is its blade, which is crafted from CPM® 20CV—a highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel. This state-of-the-art material is unique in that it contains a high volume of vanadium carbides and the highest amount of chromium of any vanadium-rich stainless steel currently available. This potent alloy mix gives it a remarkable combination of high wear resistance, superior corrosion resistance, and good impact toughness. These properties are further enhanced by Crucible's powder metallurgy process, which ensures a very fine grain size and uniform distribution of the alloys throughout the steel. To make the blade of this elite knife even more unique, it features a rich, black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.

Not to be outdone, the handle of this Para 3 features vibrant neon green G-10 scales with a peel-ply texture for a secure, non-slip grip. Skeletonized stainless steel liners nested within those scales provide the framework of the knife's patented Compression Lock® mechanism, which offers extreme strength and safe, convenient, one-handed operation.
