The first defining feature of this remarkable knife is its blade, which is crafted from CPM® M4, a special purpose high speed tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. CPM M4's sophisticated alloy composition, high vanadium content, and extremely fine grain structure give it exceptional wear resistance and toughness—properties that translate to outstanding edge retention and impact resistance in knife blades. Taking full advantage of these qualities, the PlainEdge™ blade of this knife features a full-flat grind for optimal cutting performance and point utility.

Not to be outdone, the knife's lightweight handle showcases scales injection molded from mint-green-colored fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) and featuring Spyderco's Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern for a secure grip. The handle also houses nested stainless steel liners that form the heart of the knife's Compression Lock® mechanism and includes a reversible deep-pocket wire clip that provides a choice of left or right-side tip-up carry.
