The most unique feature of this knife is its breathtaking Damascus steel blade. Expertly crafted from D.P.S. 15 Damascus, it consists of a VG-10 stainless steel core flanked by two pieces of 15-layer Damascus. The resulting 31-layer construction is highlighted by the blade's saber grind, which reveals the dramatic contrast between the layers in two different ways and offers an exceptional balance of strength and high-performance edge geometry.

Not to be outdone, the handle of this Delica 4 Exclusive combines grey fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) with a black Zome treatment. The lightweight handle components are first injection molded in a base grey color. They are then hand dyed using a painstaking process called Zome (pronounced "zoh-may"). Inspired by traditional Japanese art forms used to dye textiles, expert artisans hand brush a black dye onto each handle to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns. This labor-intensive technique is reminiscent of classical hiki-zome (brush dyeing) and makes every one of these knives an individual work of art.
