Hands down one of Spyderco's most popular and enduring models, the original Delica was instrumental in pioneering the concept of lightweight, injection-molded folding knife handles in the early 1990's. Now in its fourth-generation of design evolution, the highly evolved Delica 4 Lightweight has inspired numerous variations and is a natural canvas for Exclusive projects.

The defining feature of this unique expression of the Delica is its desert camouflage Zome handle. Zome (pronounced "zoh-may") is a class of traditional Japanese handicrafts that focuses on dyeing textiles. Inspired by this rich cultural and artistic heritage, the injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced- nylon (FRN) handles of Spyderco's Zome knives are molded in a light base color and then individually hand dyed by expert Japanese artisans. Using a technique reminiscent of classical hiki-zome (brush dyeing), darker colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns. In this case, the color palette and pattern replicate military desert camouflage. 

The other features of this remarkable knife include a full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade crafted from VG-10 stainless steel, a sturdy back lock mechanism, and a  four-position hourglass pocket clip that supports all possible carry configurations.
