The first defining feature of this remarkable knife is its blade, which is crafted from CPM® M4, a special purpose high speed tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. CPM M4's sophisticated alloy composition, high vanadium content, and extremely fine grain structure give it exceptional wear resistance and toughness. This knife’s full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade takes full advantage of these qualities and is also cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating.

Not to be outdone, the knife's lightweight handle showcases scales injection molded from mint-green-colored fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) and featuring Spyderco's Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern for a secure grip. To complement the blade’s stealthy TiCN coating, the lock bar of its sturdy back lock, its four-position clip, and all its other handle hardware also feature matching black coatings.
