The blade of this elite knife is crafted from CPM® S35VN™, a martensitic stainless steel specially formulated to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V®. Its advanced alloy composition promotes the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides, making it about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. The PlainEdge™ blade's full-flat grind ensures low-friction cutting performance and proudly features Spyderco's signature Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous one-handed opening. To eliminate reflection in environments where light discipline is a concern, this knife's blade also features a stealthy black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.

The other defining feature of this knife is its handle, which showcases brown G-10 scales with a peel-ply texture for a secure, non-slip grip.
