The Cara Cara 2 has long been a favorite of savvy knife users looking for maximum performance at a budget-friendly price. Now back by popular demand, the all-black version of this best-selling knife offers all the features of the original design, plus the advantages of screw-together construction and a low-profile black coating.

The business end of this amazingly capable knife consists of a full-flat-ground CombinationEdge blade that offers powerhouse cutting performance on all types of materials, including rope and webbing. Machined from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, it features a durable black oxide coating and the byrd brand’s signature Comet-shaped hole for rapid, fully ambidextrous one-handed opening.

A hefty all-stainless-steel handle supports the blade and houses the sturdy back lock mechanism that secures it in the open position. Unlike earlier generations of this model, this version features screw-together construction that ensures precise alignment and adjustment of all parts for optimal performance. Its four-position pocket clip can be attached to either side or either end of the handle and, together with the knife’s other features, makes its carry and operation completely ambidextrous. Like the blade, all the handle components of this knife are coated in a non-reflective black oxide finish.
