Re: Introduction with the Manix 2 Backlock

So almost a month later I thought it was time for an update on my initial review comments, for those who might still be on the fence regarding the M2 Backlock (how can you still be sitting on the fence?). CLIP Initially I forgot to mention that, weirdly (for me), the Backlock is delivered in tip dow...

Re: Spyderco bad quality in recent years Also WR dept changed

Also spotted a very large red-headed woodpecker in my backyard yesterday, but again it was too far to get a decent pic with my phone. Like this Red Bellied Woodpecker? Or maybe it was a Pileated (I believe it's bigger than the RBW). Gerard http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt158/GMHY/Woodpeckers/2...

Like trolls, birds can be dumb sometimes.
Look at this one standing on the wrong side of the flash despite my clear explanations :(

Re: native 5 frn or g10?

I am part of the crowd which feels that FRN has a cheap aspect, like the handles were made of basic plastic.

I like G10's feel, rigidity and added weight - as I like my knives to have a solid weighty feeling in the hand.

But then it's all a matter of personal preference.

Re: Spyder Co SharpMaker - What am I not getting?

Welcome to the forum. While I am not a wizard of sharpening, I can still provide a few pieces of advice as a user of the Sharpmaker, that I am sure more experienced users will complete. 1/ Watch the DVD provided with the SM and apply the process (medium grit (brown) rods, 20 strokes each side on the...

Re: Lc200n and corrosion resistance...new observations

Is it possible that the pin-head-sized spot of corrosion was due to some impurity in the LC200N? I don't know how LC200N is made, just wondering if that could explain why you only saw the corrosion on that one tiny spot but not elsewhere on the knife or on your other LC200N knives? LC200N does appe...
