Do anyone have similar experience

Me either  >> actually over the past 3 years I've noticed an upgrade in overall quality. Especially with the GOLDEN, CO USA Earth units. I've never been treated bad by Spyderco's Warranty & Repair Dept. If anything they have been extremely kind and generous with me on several occasions.J32A2 wrote:No similar experience here.

Much more interesting than the original post. Did you know that both robins take care of the young until they can fly? Very cool.
Do right always. It will give you satisfaction in life.

Funny you say that jd! The male and female were not far away up in a tree keeping an eye on the nest and me! That kinda stuff makes a good day even better!jdw wrote:Much more interesting than the original post. Did you know that both robins take care of the young until they can fly? Very cool.

In the last few months I've purchased a PM2 in S110V, a CruWear Manix 2, a Sage 5 & the Nishijin Lil Lum. All 4 have been pretty much flawless as far as fit & finish, lockup & blade play. Edge grinds were not absolutely perfect on all of them, but shaving sharp. My only other Spyderco is a Pro Venator from 20 years ago. I would say no, if anything the quality of the current Golden knives are higher than ever. Sage 5 from Taichung, perfect. Lil Lum from Seki, perfect.

Is it possible that Nicholas is seeing counterfeits?
There has certainly been an increase in counterfeit Spydies from China, and people thinking those are genuine might explain a perceived drop in quality.
