I’m going to be traveling,by car, to Maryland with my wife in nine days. Specifically to the DC suburb of Rockville. What do I need to know about Maryland knife laws in general, and Spydercos specifically?
I don’t have to carry any knife at all, but I'd like to bring one of my smaller Spydercos for general utility use.
For example, would a Chapparral Lightweight be okay? How about a Para 3 Lightweight?

Maryland knife laws?
I don't get people who only carry one knife
Re: Maryland knife laws?
Last time I checked D.C. was 2.5 inches.

Get the Legal Blade app for your Smartphone. It's maintained by KnifeRights.org and includes both state and any applicable city laws, if there is no state preemption.

I like to travel with a cheap(er) knife ~$50 if I don't know about the area.

Re: Maryland knife laws?
I haven't been to Maryland in a while, but there are (or were) some localities with strict knife laws. I seem to remember Ocean city being particularly weird. It was illegal to own, sell or even DISPOSE OF an assisted opening knife. Leaving you no way to obey the law if you owned one when it went into effect. Catch 22 BS.
