Can we get a ZDP Straight Spine Stretch in British Racing Green?

From 2010-2013 or so, I was carrying a ZDP Stretch every day. It was my first Spyderco, and a fantastic knife: lightweight, 3.5” blade, four-way clip, generous 50/50 choil - everything you could want in a pocket knife. Believe it or not, I even asked for a Straight Spine version way back then.

Though I lost that original Stretch, I still enjoy the model quite a bit. I’d love to pay homage to that first Spyderco with a new, straight spine ZDP Stretch, and I’d love to see that classic British Racing Green.

So Sal, how about it?

I would not be opposed to the idea , sounds great but I believe ZDP189 life cycle is coming to an end and will only be available in the laminated version . I still appreciate the the older style of blade myself . MG2

Nothing against this idea as I'm a big Stretch fan. Personally I'd rather see Hap40 than ZDP. I'd love the BRG color though since I missed out the first time. And yes I know it was reserved at the time for ZDP but things change.

I put in your request. Capacity is tight in Seki, but ZDP is still available in a laminate, which most will appreciate. t might take a while, but it will more than likely happen. I'd like a stretch 2 XL in ZDP myself, and British Racing Green is always a nice package.

Well, the Stretch 1 (and also Endura, Delica, Dfly and Meerkat) can still be found in HAP 40 - but at an online retailer some don´t care for too much.

There were times when I called my HAP 40 Stretch 1 the best EDC knife ever. Not anymore these days perhaps just cause I am really into SE now (and HAP40 just comes in PE)

The Straight Spine Stretch is one of my top favorites and if it came in BRG and ZDP-189 that would be even better.

I would LIKE a DRAGONFLY 2 in that configuration, too!

Would be great indeed - but probably hard to decide between ZDP and K390 (in which steel it should come too eventually, like all the Seki FRNs?).

I would welcome either one, but would really value a BRG ZDP Stretch 2 XL.

I hope the K390 Stretch 2 XL makes it into regular production.
