It looks like it's exactly what you said it is...a vertical scratch. It looks like a grind line that's a little deeper than most. Personally I wouldn't worry about and I'd just use it. If it bothers you that much send it back to the dealer for another one

Not something I would have even thought twice about. I couldn't even see it until I really looked. Shouldn't be a problem unless it really bugs you.
