Hi all,
I received a Dragonfly 2 Salt this week with black hardware, but with a silver wire clip. The current photo appears to show a black wire clip:

Do any of you know if there was a transition period where silver wire clips were used? Also, will a coated black wire clip have better corrosion resistance?

Re: Dragonfly 2 Salt - black or silver wire clip
The older salts used a silver wire clip. I imagine they are just using up the wire clips they have. Not sure.
There should be no corrosion issues with the silver wire clip.

My SE Dragonfly Salt purchased six months ago came as you mentioned: blacked out hardware with silver clip.
In my experience the clip is the first think to get nicked up, so I don’t mind the bare clip.
On a separate Dragonfly that I acid etched I left a wire clip in ferric chloride for the better part of an hour before giving up on staining it. I can’t imagine a real world scenario that would corrode that clip.

Thanks for the feedback. I will keep the silver wire clip.
