Mini Swayback chop
Mini Swayback chop
Just finished this last night - 3" blade, 4" handle. Widened the cutout, and added a thumbramp to it. Clip is modified from a Lum Chinese folder. Then stonewashed/oxi-darkened and flame ano'd the clip/hardware.

Nice! I was hoping you'd find a way to put a wire clip on it lol

Thanks Big50, I refinished w/ a diy stonewash (in the drier w/ river rocks), and oxi-clean to darken the ti.

Very fine work, as always, Digdug.
I’m curious as to whether the balance point of the knife changes much after you do your chops? I guess, as you take material both off the blade and the rear of the handle, it might remain similar to the original balance point?

Thanks so much BFK, much appreciated brotha!bearfacedkiller wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 6:05 amYup, very impressive as always! Thanks for sharing.
Generally they stay pretty close to the original balance point - your assessment was spot on. Removing material from both ends tends to keep it evened out...Cambertree wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 5:29 amVery fine work, as always, Digdug.

Thanks Cambertree! I have a Spydiechef on the way that's gonna be chopped next week, and have been meaning to chop a Kapara forever now. Probably in a week or two...Cambertree wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 8:36 amI look forward to seeing what you have lined up for your next chop.
