Straight plain grilled cheese (with processed cheese slices, the sandwich of my youth) , Reuben, Monte Cristo, Croque Monsieur.. That's it!

Yum! Very good.

Do you ever add meats such as ham or turkey or beef of some sort to it or no? And do you like it with soup?

as far as soups, Campbell's vegetable, or Habitant Pea soup work well.. Plain grilled cheese, no meat, but the others all have meat in them.. Deep fried pickles go well with the Reuben..

Grilled pastrami, provolone, banana peppers on marbled rye bread. My favorite sandwich ever at a local restaurant. Simple and delicious.

Classic grilled cheese, also grilled cheese with red onions on it (it's better than it sounds), grilled ham and cheese, Reubens are one of my all time favorites.

Cheddar cheese and Marmite - yum!

(Marmite is a yeast extract, vitamin packed by-product of the brewing industry with a strong, umami flavour. The Australians have a watered down substitute called Vegemite).

I've always found a grilled cheddar cheese with ham sandwich to be a nice combination.
