ETA on the Damascus Stretch sprint?

#1

Post by Raylas »

If it's not too much trouble, does anybody here know the ETA on the Stretch sprint with nishijin and damascus? I preordred one a WHILE back and I was curious when I might start seeing pictures or when the knife might start dropping.

many thanks, Raylas.

Other than the pages on several dealer sites that has been there since last year, there hasn't been any word. I inquired about it two days ago here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showt ... etch/page5

Blue Nishijin handles like the upcoming Spin and Cricket. There are pictures of both of those out though so I'd imagine the Damascus Stretch and the SuperBlue Stretch (of which there are no pictures yet) will be coming out after those.

Hpmh. I guess we just have to wait until Spyderco is far enough along that they can give us more info. Oh well, I guess it'll come when it comes.

There are low-res pictures of some upcomming knives on the Monteg website including the Nishijin Streatches and CF Native.

Trying for a bit bigger versions to show up via my Photobucket acct:

Wow, just wow...

Just so you know, the CF Native shown on the Moteng website is the smooth CF Native 4 with VG-10 steel, not the peel ply CF Native 5 with S110V steel. I know, I was disappointed too...

Whoa, those are the first pics I've seen of them Stretches, thanks! I'm not into Damascus but it's the Stretch what can I say other than I gotta have it!

The Native pictured is the N4 but I get the idea. Got two on preorder now.

I'm getting all three models pictured. My favorite Spydercos.

^ Now see, I'm a damascus addict, but I only buy stainless due to my sweat apparently being sulfuric acid. I'm getting the one with the blue handles, provided there are enough to fill the preorders up to mine.

Yep, several sites have them available for preorder, most saying late November ship date.
