Niice! You don't really get an idea of how hard it is to do until you try it yourself. I can just barely do it with my Military, after a lot of stropping and polishing on the sharpmaker.

Can't wait to get my 20cp Para 2!! I don't have any S90V Spydies (unfortunately :( ..), so this will be my first taste of ubersteel! I hope Spyderco starts using it on more models, along with other great Carpenter steels...wouldn't it be sick to have classic production models using 20cp, XHP and 204p?? I just drool at that potential :D .

Would you please stop posting these videos? They make me feel ashamed of my sharpening skills and my self esteem just can't take it anymore. Just kidding.

As usual, nice job. You use an Edge Pro, right?

It's 6000 grit on the EP.

Yeah I use it because I do a lot of sharpening when testing. :)

I tried that tonight with my Para 2 in S30V and it didn't quite turn out quite like that. Just when you think your knife is pretty sharp  :D

Sharpness is not the only factor to TP slicing. It also takes a very refined and polished edge.

Of course it helps if you're not in a rush to get to the toilet. ;)

It has to be VERY sharp to do it, I can do it with a coarse edge also, but it has to be right.

I tried to do the same on my Delica using the Sharpmaker and stropping it for a good 2 hours and failed miserably :( Jim are you sure you dont have some special jedi TP cutting skills that you aren't telling us about? :D Hopefully ill get my CTS-20CP Para 2... Anyone know how many of these are going to be out? Any chance for a double sprint, like the Manix 2 CTS-XHP?

Nope, the edge has to be good though, finish doesn't really matter because I can do it with a coarse edge too.
