likewise Zenith,i feel South Africa needs a Spyder infestation :spyder: here
There's still so many locals here that has no idea what Spyderco is,but are into knives and end up buying crap knives, because they have limited knowledge of realy good knives and good bladesteels. Spyderco is still very limited in most parts of the country  Retailers here in some parts of South AFRICA also have limited knowledge of Spyderco product.Good thing there's the internet, otherwise i dont know.Good thing there's the Spyderco forums, because sofar i've obtained valueable knowledge on the product :spyder: and on bladesteels etc. lata  bro

I do agree with you that a lot of South Africans do not know the difference between good quality knifes and cheap knives.

There is one shop that stock almost every spyderco model. http://www.sharpedge.co.za

Though they only display what is available in the shop on the web currently they do order knives with their shipments if not available. They have helped me a lot.

I'm ordering my Spydies thru Ramrod, to a local store, but sadly, they dont stock all the Spydies im interested in.
I'm really keen on getting the G10 Caly3,but Ramrod doesnt stock them.
I've been on the Sharpedge site and saw, they stock the Caly3 G10 in spyderedge, only.
i know both Ramrod and Sharpedge don't deliver direct to the public.
I would like to order from Sharpedge, but none of the local stores deal thru them here in Western Cape.

I buy all my knives from sharpedge directly. They also have a store. I usually never go to Sandton where their shop is located.

Their manager Stan is very helpful and they charged R60 for next day, insured, delivery for me. I do not know if that would be the same tarrif for you but you can always try.

here is their email: Sharp Edge [sharpedge@netactive.co.za]
