This thread is really making me feel young. You guys are all looking back at 30, saying, "Ah yes, I'd have bought X back then." Let's just say I'm closer to half of 30 than 30. If you're wondering, "What do the young whippersnappers carry theses days?," my collection is, in chronological order, a Manbug, Paramilitary 2, and Techno. Also I sold the Para (made $20 gross profit on the sale believe it or not) to get the Techno, because unlike you guys, I actually have a shortage of knife money, so one new knife a year for me.

To answer the OP, if I was 30 I would get the Technobug, a Manbug sized techno with CTS-UAC steel (Unobtanium/Adamantium/Carbon-Nanotube alloy) and it would be my last purchase. Also make it a flipper for the fun of it (if feasible).

If I was turning 30, which is the age I consider finally being an adult, I'd be happy. It's the perfect age. Enjoy it now!
Just buy something already. Happy birthday.
- best wishes, Jazz.

I'll have a birthday myself this week, but 30 was soooo long ago :) . A new knife sounds like a great idea... though sometimes it seems there aren't many currently-produced Spydies that I *don't* already have :) . Perhaps I will have to take a look at a Vallotton...

Well I'm not thirty anymore but I recently bought a Matriarch 2 Wave for my B-day. The knife certainly is dramatic when it flies open with that big toothy grin :D

Oh man.....on the way to my dads place I stopped in Johnson City,TN and checked out Mahoneys outfitters. They had a decent collection of Spydercos as well as many other makers. That being said I got to fondle Military as well as a Para Military. Both really nice. The full size Millie being my favorite- and being very much lighter than I thought it would be! At any rate I just couldn't pull the trigger. His price was $199+TN sales tax (roughly $220) for the full size Millie -Camo and Black blade. I asked if he could at least drop the sales tax - as I could get the same knife from a reputable dealer on the net for substantially less than what he was asking. Told him I would be happy to buy right now and give him the business. No dice. And I passed. And Im not complaining one iota fellas. I truly understand that those were the mans prices and I respect that. Just really wish we could have done business.
