OMG! Of all the zombie threads that have come to life recently, this is one of the most pointless resurrections.

Really?Tdog wrote:Like the VG10 but the Endura in ZDP is the cats meow. The skeletonized stainless liners keep it light and make it strong. Brief stropping makes this one sharp puppy. G10? VG10? What's that?

I realize it is from 10 years ago, that is why my first post was '10 years ago...'
I just thought it was interesting that in 2001 people were excited about rumors of vg10 steel for the endura. FF to 2011 and vg10 is NBD. In 2021, zdp will probably be a boring, common steel.
I found it fascinating, I didn't ask you to be fascinated though. If you didn't think so, click the back button and move along.

I seriously read the first post at least 5 times trying to figure out exactly what i was reading before i thought to look at the date. This one really caught me off guard. :D
I think perspective is always a great thing to have, and looking back at where things have come from is a great way to get perspective. We truly are living in a spoiled age as far as this hobby goes. The steel options out there are so amazing that a truly awesome steel like VG10 is practically the base steel these days, when 10 years ago it was something to look forward to.
