Thinking about a little big knife..

#1

Post by Django »

Now that I have my Ocelot, which is a great EDC, I am looking for a "little-big knife" in SE to have for whenever I need to use serrations. I was looking at the Dragonfly SS and the Nav 2 SS and I can't decide which one I like more. I like the finger grooves on the Navigator, but I love the blade shape on the Dragonfly.

Can you guys give your personal opinions on each of these knives please? Also, feel free to post pics and suggest other little-big knives. :D

Thanks in advance :)

The Nav II/SE is has been my EDC for the past week.

Despite being SS, the hold is very secure.

And don't overlook the SS Cricket/SE, a real little cutting demon. :D

I posted this pic on another thread already :o , but I think it gives you an idea ;)

I'd have to go with the SE Cricket... This little guy has been riding in my back pocket lately for those hard nasty zip ties...

Nav 2. It is built like a tank, very comfortable to hold and EXTREMELY sharp!
Just my 2 cents.

Hey Django, A Vote for the SS Dragonfly here ;) . I have the PE, and it's zipped through/handled everything I've used it for. Very solid built "Little Big" knife in every sense of the words. Take Good Care.

God Bless :)

I still preffer the old school G-10 Navigator more. It's strictly a matter of personal prefference. After the Lava will become available, I suspect this one will become my favorite :)

I would suggest to wait a little bit and get a CLB LAVA. Just from the pictures I saw, it will be a winner...

Aloha Django,

As much as I like the feel of the Nav2, I say go for the Dragonfly or Cricket in terms of full SE for a small knife.

I used a 1st gen Dragonfly for a long time in the "public's eye" while working at the Sport's Authority back in the day, and no one raised an eyebrow...same with my Aluminum Cricket, except this gets the, "Cute knife" response.

I like smcfalls13 suggestion on the Dodo, but man, I tell ya, my PE Dodo has scared the poop outta people due to the overall look of it!

God bless
