Delica scale options?

#1

Post by Flash »

I would like some new alloy Delica scales, preferably with an intergrated back spacer assembly like the ones AWT do for the Native 5, and Preferably with ones that do away with the tip-down screw holes.

AWT don’t appear to do anything for the Delica. So what are the other options that are currently available to me that folks can recommend?

Flytanium has Ti scales for the Delica and Endura. The backspacer is sold separately.

LynchNW Mod 2 scales.
They just came back in stock. Did they go up in price with this batch? They feel amazing in hand and knock out the definitive hand positioning with the grooves on stock scales.

Yeah, looks like $10 a set more now. It’s still a deal.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I’m not entirely convinced about the holes, but largely I like what LynchNW have done with their scales - the contouring is more simple by getting rid of the ridges and the how they have incorporated a finger choil into the design is genius.

A backspacer made out of a metal alloy is an absolute must - the original plastic one is the source of furious anger when reassembling the Delica.

If you like Micarta scales, then RC Blade works is a great solution. They make high quality scales with lots of color and inlay options

RC Bladeworks gets my vote. They come with a backspacer, although it's not integrated.

I've got another set of Delica scales from him on the way... And he's currently working on Chaparral scales, and just finished the Endura and Endela. :D

Micarta. It has a steel insert, instead of those little nubs, to make it a lot more durable though. I don't know that I would trust a Micarta backspacer on a Delica otherwise, lol.

The video shows off the backspacer a little. :)

And to top it off, he's a great dude.
