That Lions game gave Chris Jones some much needed leverage. The Chiefs defense couldn’t get anywhere near Goff. Looks like a one year deal though, so I’m guessing he’ll be playing somewhere else next season.

Well gang, I for one am really excited about tonight's game!
Rodgers in the AFC with the Jets vs Josh Allen and the Bills!
Of course, I was really hyped about Dallas vs NY
I think this will be a great game though
Gonna be very interesting to see what the bad man can do tonight
I’m excited to see if the hype surrounding the jets is real or not.

The is all I can see when they show close ups of Rodgers.

Also, three plays into his career with the Jets and Rodgers goes out injured after getting sacked is about as JETS as it can get. :rofl

THE JETS ARE STILL THE JETS!!! I will never take them seriously!

Just to be clear - I'm not laughing at Rodgers getting injured, I’m just astounded by the Jets luck (or lack there of), they can never catch a break!

This game was a disaster from the start for both teams! They both looked bad but the Bills looked terrible.

And of course, this terrible game is going to OT. I hope they tie because they both deserve to lose.

Crazy how many top tier offenses crashed this week. Were the defenses better prepared, or offenses still trying to get their timing down?? Too many explosive offenses looking pedestrian this week

It's a ruptured achilles for Rodgers. Just saw a close up replay of his calf. It's obvious.

Jets fans might think they just won but Zack Wilson is now their QB again…

I agree, Rick. The replays definitely show something going on with his calf, and seeing the way his achilles bent on the tackle, it all seems to add up to an achilles injury.

I think we might’ve just seen Aaron Rodgers take his last snap in the NFL.

I’m hearing reports that Rodgers injury is being confirmed as a torn achilles. He’s out for the year and unfortunately, possibly his career.

I agree though, it’s such a disappointment. I was looking forward to seeing what Rodgers could do with the Jets. I had no confidence in them but still wanted to see them play. I was even considering attending the Pats vs Jets game at Gillette, just to see Aaron Rodgers play in person.

The Jets are cursed.

Definitely feel for him, the Jets and their fans. That's really tough. So much hype and excitement around that team for months, just for it to come crashing down after 4 plays.

Granted, they do have a very strong defense, but I just don't see Wilson doing enough to get them far. He's no Trent Dilfer haha!

The Jets are so screwed with his contract and their picks tied up in the trade. Green bay president has got to be on cloud 9 right now. I read Rodgers is blaming his injury on the playcall. Pretty sure the coach didn’t ask him to take the sack lol.

I feel bad for Aaron Rodgers - NOT the jets or their fans! I went to sleep last night dancing on the Jets Organizations grave! :party-face :rofl

After the career Aaron Rodgers has had to this point, he doesn't deserve to be a victim of the Jets curse. He deserved a better end to his career than this.

Yeah I do think you're 100% correct on that Lions game giving him great leverage because the timing of getting this deal done I'm sure was a chess move from his agent. And I'm sure he was glad they lost the opener as well.

I still think the Chiefs could have gotten one heck of a trade from him if they would have had to go that route. But overall I'm glad we got Chris Jones back. The local talk shows are pointing out that the contract is for this season only. And I think he did it that way just to add more leverage to seeking a the long term deal with the Chiefs.

But he better have a super productive season similar to the one he had last year or they might just move on>> unless they franchise tag him. There was a valid reason they want this one year route instead of inking a 3 to 4 year deal like he initially wanted. Because Brett Veach is quite a chess player himself. But the fact that Chris made his presence known at that Thursday Night game was just another chess move in getting what he ultimately wanted for sure.

I forgot how much guaranteed money Rodgers had on that monster contract but it was quite a lot if I remember right. But Rodgers has no one to blame for the injury. Injuries are just a sad reality of pro football>> or any other level of football for that matter. It's actually incredible that Rodgers played this long without any serious injury. Heck I remember Lord Brady being out for a full year several years back because of a freak knee injury he had.

That's probably why most GMs are balking at guaranteed money clauses in those contracts. I heard that the guaranteed money is what Lamar Jackson wanted the very most when he inked his deal with the Ravens.
