I'm surprised at how much excitement there was around here for the drop of this knife, but I've barely seen or heard a peep about it since.

Image
I’m affraid, but thats the way it goes for years around here. Huge excitment when released, quick sold out and then nothing. Most stay hidden in collections , some are sold for profit and only few you can see being used.
Thanks for being the one who use his knives.

Knocked the dust off this one and put a new edge on it last night. The one thing I've really missed after carrying SE for so long is the steel and model variety in all my PE collection. So many of these PE I've been digging out lately would be amazing with serrations.

Of these I have carried over the past couple weeks, the k390 dragonfly is becoming the one I choose most frequently. It is with me today.

We finished early yesterday and the job was fairly close to the river so a couple of the guys and myself brought fishing gear…conditions were pretty good (low/clear/no dredging)… got a little better pic this time around but still could be better…most of ‘em had OJS (open jaw syndrome) 🤣🎣👊

For me unchallenged as perfect "normal use" EDC folder for quite a while now - certainly one of Sals greatest designs imo.

Image
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

This is like the one knife that might make me break my resolution of not buying LW models….and I don’t even know what model it is. Stretch2 xl LW?

Bingo!! :smlling-eyes

But keep in mind: It is a real lightweight even among the lightweights... ;) - no liners, weighs less than lets say a much smaller Sage 5 LW, less than a Manx 2 LW and much less than a G10 Para 3.

No Spydie I own FEELS lighter (though some actually are, but not in relation to their footprint)

And just in case you should not be aware of that: You can have it with liners and G10 too - in Cruwear, but "just" in PE.

Yeah that is one hella expensive knife. Maybe one day. I also don’t like the issue of the blade hitting the lanyard tube, it’s completely unacceptable for a knife at that price point.
