Prediction: Praise for this model will be unusually high. That may be due to (1) merit and/or (2) psychology. The harder it is to get, the more the need to justify the effort of getting one. Basic cognitive dissonance at work!

How likely is it for bladehq to cancel/ void a confirmed order? Was able to snag one from there, but also was able to from red hill then got an email a few minutes later that my order had been canceled. Just want one so hopefully at some point I’ll be quick enough!

I ordered one form Grommetts two days ago when their website glitched and showed them in stock. I got a phone call after and they explained that they were not actually in stock. I was told that the manager contacted Spyderco and confirmed that they are receiving more and mine will ship, albeit later than usual.
I wonder if that's what just happened again. They listed 2 in stock for about ten minutes. But once I tried to proceed with checkout they then said it was sold out again.

Are you saying you bought all of Grommets stock, then? Because they told me in-person that they had only two 15Vs to sell. Is the idea one for each hand?

They had more than 2. I just got a shipping notification for the one I ordered from them.

No, I bought the very first two they had when they had 5 in stock.

And the idea is one for me and one for my brother, but you can go ahead and think whatever you like. :/

unfortunately the rain drops instantly rusted the blade and then when I went to open up a package with the blade the steel was so hard and brittle that the entire blade exploded into a fine dust
Puts the P into CPM, eh?

I’ll be here all week. Or maybe until I get a 15V Manix 2. So let that be motivation for you all to help me get one.

They told you they had five! Interesting. They told me they only received two. No skin off my nose, I'm not in the market for the 15V myself -- just interested in the process and the frenzy.

I am curious why Grommets would play with the numbers.

Their website showed 5 at the time that I ordered. I don't know what context it was that they told you they had 2, but I wonder if they meant they only had 2 left at that time - whenever that was.

The context was: I was in store, in person, and just before leaving the store I asked out of curiosity: "I understand you are sold out of the 15V Manix, right?" And the proprietor said, "Yes, we sold both of them online yesterday."

No biggie, just a bit odd they'd say two, if there were five -- or possibly more, if you weren't the first in line.

That is odd, because I bought 2 on 12/5, and another member on here bought at least 1 same day.

We were done, till you brought it up again. But to answer your question:

Who cares? Several of us who were trying to figure out how many 15Vs small shops got in the initial drop. Trying to compare numbers. This is the thread to discuss the 15V drop, last I checked.
