Variety keeps things interesting… I find myself having brief flirtations with different models at times, but I always gravitate back to the PM2 and Military as my favourites. I can be content with either. These are also the 2 designs I have the most variations of.

I agree that "the one" is situational. My favorite overall is the back lock Manix from a few years back, and it's probably my most-carried. I also like the Kapara if I think I'll be doing some food prep, and will choose a wharncliffe (Yojimbo, Delica) if I anticipate a lot of utility work. For a relatively small and light carry, I like the Watu. I have a few other models in rotation -- it's nice to have choices.

I haven’t found ‘the one’ but I know my two favorites. I have a replacement for my GB1 and my 52100 Military. I own quite a few more but I could use these two and not really need another folding knife.

I've found "the one"....many times

Too many great designs. I could never pick just one. I might favor one for awhile but then I pick up something else and marvel at how nice it is. The Mantra is at the top of the list but there's others right up there too

Have found the one… but it is actually 3 folders and two are Spyderco

So basically there are three knives that are needed in a folder . Gentlemen’s - Worker - Weekend

So

A) Gentlemen’s folder CRK Mnandi (anything pre 2018 :smiling-halo)
B) Worker folder Spyderco GB1
C) Weekend folder Spyderco Pacific Salt (as I’m fishing most weekends)
Im a vegetarian as technically cows are made of grass and water.

I found “the one” with my very first Spyderco - the Aqua Salt. Folders are wonderful and convenient, and I have grown to love them, but a solid, light, rustproof fixed blade is my perfect knife.

If we ever see a DLC Waterway or a Salty Street Bowie those might get me to reconsider. Maybe. Until then the Aqua Salt is “the one” for me.

I have definitely found "the five".

Or maybe it was "the thirty". I'm getting older and more forgetful....

I could probably pick my 5 favorite models with very little internal debate. But one? That's too difficult. Why would I do that?

I voted yes, the Ayoob, latest sprint in cruwear. I got both se and pe, not sure on which one is #1 yet. I love both. The pair moved every thing else to tier 2.
They truly are that good. Sometimes I carry both. ;)

With the C-60 Cruwear Ayoob Sprint Run being such a great success I think it's safe to say that YES INDEED I've found "The ONE"

The Ayoob was always one of my top 3 favorite Spyders of all time. But now with a Cruwear blade and a newer/better G-10 handle I think that they have really outdone themselves on that project. Yes!! the C-60 Cruwear Ayoob in both SE & PE is officially my total favorite at this point.

I think the only Spyder that could equal that masterpiece would be if they did a Sprint Run of the TEMPERANCE 1 model in the SALT SERIES in both SE & PE. Because the TEMP 1 is still my favorite Spyderco fixed blade ever.

Have to say it’s the Rookie, carried it for years, still have it, haven’t found a good replacement for it yet.

Native 5.

Perfection in my hand like no other tool I've ever held. Love the LW in Maxamet, the KC CruWear Smooth G10, And the Rex45s, but really, I'd go with the stock LW in S30V over any other model in the sexiest steel. It's the design.

Looking forward to the Magnacut Salt versions. That will put me at 20 N5s.

Yes, I've found my "One."

I said YES, but something may come along.

I like the Spyderco Native Chief. It could be a bit larger and I'd like it even more.

Due to get some cash by the 20th of this month, and I may buy a few backups. Excellent design, almost perfect. The only thing that I would add/change would be the length and a bit more of a "hook" on the handle to stop hands from sliding down on the blade.

Dragonfly seems to be the one for me. Recently sold off my se salt D’fly to give another blade a try. Wharncliffe dragonfly in vg10 arrives tomorrow. If the blade resonates with me, I might be looking for another in k390.

Other. Because, I know what "the one" would look like, but it does not exist.

It would be the Manix 2 XL with K390. My favorite model with a steel that just performs. Maybe there are steels that would be even better, but I have not tried them yet, CPM 15V could be a good one.

Yep… for me it’s a plain edge PacSalt. LC200N is fine, but hoping for Magnacut in the future.

Ha, I agree with this. ;)

The one knife? No, but many come close, and are "the one" for a while.
But it's a Spyderco for sure.

I carried a PM2 for years. Then I got my hands on a KW Military. I carry it most days. I like it so much I even acquired two more as backups when they were more easily obtainable and affordable. If I had to choose one for life, this would be the one (or, at least one of the three).

I believe it to be Spyderco’s finest hour. :usflag
