Do you usually introduce your partner to carrying a knife at all times? :bug-red

I do. And every GF has taken on to carrying daily. I use a trainer, to give them confidence over a few months, practicing less that 10 minutes 3 times a week. :respect

I also have them get a 4 oz can of PepperGel from Amazon. :hot-face

Over the last ten years, over 60 female friends now carry a knife/peppergel or knife alone. More than half use the Bra Clips available from HideAway Knives (hakknife.com) to carry their knives concealed.

In the last ten years, four have drawn their knives (3 of 4 had Matriarch's). In all cases, the guy took off really fast after they took a combat stance holding their knife with menace in their eyes! Not one drop of blood shed... :bug-red-white :bug-white-red

Yes, I gave her the first quality knife my woman owns in the form of the mint Sage 5 LW in M4, very good EDC knife, she loves it. She also carries a Victorinox Recruit, and an Opinel no. 7 for foods and such. She has developed her own tastes and such, while not changing her EDC much (she carries my BD1N orange aluminum PM2 when not carrying the Sage 5, she likes that one, too, the lightweight aluminum, the color, and the properties of the PM2 blade shape in use). Uses Spyderco BD1N in the kitchen.

Has a higher standard of sharpness than I do, come to think of it, now! And, she also admitted that she cannot "go back" to using regular knives, once she has used quality knives with a real steel and good geometry, like Spyderco and Opinel (I know, two opposite ends, but Opinel is also a very good knife, just serves a different purpose).
Favorite Spydercos: Police 4 K390 LW, Sage 5 M4 LW, K390 wharncliffe D-fly, Cricket, Crucarta PM2, M4 Micarta Shaman, Dodo.

Had a girlfriend who acquired a fondness for sharp knives. When one dulled a bit, she would just grab another from my collection. Never could get her to stop cutting on plates. :confounded

either way this stat is crazy. you either:
1. bought 60 girls a Spyderco in 10 years
or
2. talked 60 girls into buying a Spyderco in 10 years.
:usflag :bug-red :bug-white-red :usflag
If we spent as much time trying as we do doubting, we might have already accomplished it.

Six ladies a year.
One lady every two months.

How long do they have to date you before they get the free knife?

Nope.
And while the sample size is low and correlation does not prove causation, I can't outright dismiss the possibility that's somehow connected to why we're still together.

For full disclosure it should be mentioned that after about 18-19 years as a couple, I bought her a SAK Classic. I believe it's still in her purse, but so is a lot of other stuff and she might have forgotten it's even in there.

Dayem! I feel so unmanly. Only one partner in 52 years, and she does as she pleases.

I really want to see this "combat stance", but without the eye menace. Eye contact makes me uncomfortable. I'm too shy.

Anyhoo, my wife carries a ZDP DF2 and a ZDP manbug(on keychain) at all times. I'll ask her to strike a combat stance for me later this evening, wish me luck!

My wife and I run a small business from our home so besides for household packages we get plenty of packages delivered for work.
I have knives stashed all around but she, for some reason, will always grab a pair of scissors and hold them in an awkward and dangerous way to open the packages.
