if you haven't tried one, check out the serrated zcut. thin and serrated like the ukpk but with a longer edge.
Thanks for the idea, just now ordered! My "usual" breakfast-prep knife is a PE Z-Cut, but I've been rotating various non-food-prep knives through, just to experience them.

Guess it’s not technically a Spyderco… or is it? 🤔

It's Spyderco, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there are reasons for the Byrd name, but they're designed by Spyderco, made in China... just like the other value line Spydercos...

I also have my Hawkbill with me today 🙂

One of the best pocket knives ever in my opinion. I love using it at work in the shop

Pac Salt with me on a little hike.
Here at the door of an old, ruinous mill I came across in the woods

That is exactly how horror movies start.
Did you knock?

Actually I did knock indeed... ;) ... had to try out that doorknocker.

But I have to disappoint you - nothing happened. Perhaps though the ghost of some old miller will begin to haunt me in my dreams soon, who knows... :ghost :grimace
