Absolutely no worries, we knew your weren't doing that bro. Like you say, it's all goodaicolainen wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 8:09 amThanks!
All camping is real, no camp-shaming around here ;-) Hiking in to the mountains, a forest or anywhere I feel close to nature and just erect my tent whenever and wherever feels right is how I prefer it. And the kids too actually. The mother isn't always as enthusiastic though :D
There's no right or wrong way, only what you like.
All pics are from trips in Norway.
First pic is from a trip to Jotunheimen this summer. When this picture was taken we weren't technically in the Jotunheimen national park yet, but very close.
Second pic is taken in the mountains just about an hours drive south of Trondheim where I live. Taken last winter.
3rd pic is from Femundsmarka. It's a national park with amazing fishing opportunities just 3 hours from home. Taken last fall.
4th pic is also from Femundsmarka and also from last fall, but it's taken a few weeks later on a canoe trip.
The last pic is from Dovrefjell national park. I believe it's from a trip in 2019.
Oh, I see. Norway is beautiful from what I understand and can see from pics. Thank you for the 411!
I'm sure it's gets pretty cold too!

Re: Camping Craze
Well gang, camping season has came to a close for us. Our last trip was October 22-24 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. But, the excitement hasn't stopped.....at least not for the boss- I mean wife. .Anyways we enjoyed going camping so much that we decided to go ahead and upgrade to a new 5th Wheel. Mrs.MacLaren found the one she really wanted in Pennsylvania for $10k less than we could find anywhere around us. So, this past Friday (day before yesterday) we took off for Pennsylvania and bought it. It's a Jayco Eagle.
And, I can say that I'm glad we got it. Makes things easier and of course has more room. I would've been fine sticking with what we have though. Actually, I voted that we should just stay with what we had but, I was vetoed lol. Anyways, here's some pics of what we got. Thanks for letting me share gang.

Big pimping now Paul! Nice! When the wife gets back from Arizona we are going to look at trailers. I got all my debt paid off so it’s time to get a trailer and add some more debt

Re: Camping Craze
That's very kind bro, I really appreciate that.
It's not nearly as big as or nice as a lot of 5th wheels out there. But, she is nice.
She's 34' feet overall. I think once fully loaded we would be about 11,200 pounds. Not too bad at all really.
Re: Camping Craze
Paul!! Bought our first trailer today! A 28 foot Forest River Impression with one slide.

These campers these days are so nice.
And, have no fear, the AC will run ya out lol.
Very happy for yall!!

Congratulations Josh!!
Re: Camping Craze
How’s it going Paul? Been a while. Any fun camping trips this year so far? We have just been staying within the state so far this year but have taken the trailer to half a dozen different rodeos. Have one long trip planned for Labor Day to the final rodeo of the year for us, and a Long Beach trip planned end of September. Hope all is well and safe travels.

Re: Camping Craze
Hey Josh!
Good to hear from you, my friend.
Glad your still having a great time with your camper! Those Rodeos are awesome.....
Ya know, we have really cooled our jets. The last two years we were taking about 8 or 9 trips per year lol.....this year we have 2 big trips and a couple small trips. We already went to Myrtle Beach for a week ( Ocean Lakes Campground ) & in August we're going to Washington DC - we'll be staying in some campground in Maryland though.
Oh, & we.are gonna check out Gettysburg too!
Now, I'm super excited about that. But, as luck would have it, Little Round Top will not be able to be seen! It's under construction...that really sux but, I'm just really glad to be able to finally experience Gettysburg
Josh, I'll send ya some pics when we get back.
And stay in touch my friend & safe travels !
