Well, the ancient sources say 60 to 100 meters (65 to 110 yards), but if true, then for the larger ones I guess. And for being still really effective as a weapon probably shorter.
I am certainly not on your level, but when comparing to others throwing a frisbee really far has always been a strength of mine.
Perhaps l´ll just try and let you know (so far I´ve just been in the woods with the Chakram. Trees in the way and hard to find when tossing it far away).
Don´t know if you ever tried one of that Aerobies (modern throwing ring https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerobie) - it is unbelievable how far they can be tossed, actually the world record for the longest throw with an (any!) object was done with one of those (1,333 feet (406 meters))
Sure, the Chakram is by far not that good (originally meant as a weapon much heavier), but still not bad.
Chakrams are so easy to just have in the pack when hiking around, and for me more about having fun in the woods - alone or with friends. Powershots into dead trees, doing trick shots with the more than one Chakram in the hand and so on. The "ancient historic (warfare) vibe" is the icing on the cake...
Here two vids (of that a bit hypermanic Czech guy), though mostly over- and underhand so not in the most used Frisbee techniques
1 showing some tricks (featuring even a skateboard... ), https://youtu.be/bApY7JeEtXE
2 Showing some ways how to throw out of that old manuscripts. https://youtu.be/xRck2DS2o_U
/ END of off topic, I promise!!!
