Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive
I honestly thought these sold out already....
Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive
I snagged one for 265 on secondary and saw one go this morning for 222 shipped. Prices are dropping on this. Hoping to scoop a backup……. I put mine up for sale upon initial inspection. It’s now kicked my favorites from my pocket, and I hate coated blades…. There is just something about this one that draws me to it.
I had several issues with the 3v variant…. Sharp spydiechef hole, lock stick, super strong lock bar. They seem to have fixed most of my issues…. Love it.
Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive
Iio Well, it looks like this one is gonna go the way of the original Tuff lol. Still available. Prices are going to shoot up once sold out
Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive
Anyone else think this would’ve sold out if it was satin or stonewash?

Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive
I don't think so. I prefer satin to coated blades but the black looks good on this one.
Judging by what I've read on here... hefty x lack of sliceyness x price = slow seller

^ I know it's an apples to oranges comparison, but I can't help thinking that for the price of this Tuff I could get a fixed blade 4V Province instead.
Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive
Price is subjective in this matter. There are folders that are way more expensive than the Tuff. Also the argument of why not both, or do you need a fixed blade vs a folder?
Me personally I’m considering a province to compliment the Tuff

(I decided against picking this one up, figuring one of you guys would appreciate much more.)

Took a while to go out of stock.

Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive
Mine showed up a couple of days ago.
Im loving it. I’ve always enjoyed using Ed’s designs, they work real well for me.
I missed out on the original Tuff from lack of funds back then, So Im glad I managed to snag one this time around.
This is my first time with cruwear too. It’s taken anything I’ve thrown at it and laughed. Im stunned how well this sharpens up.
My Millie’s can have the week off… This will be a baptism by fire for the Tuff at work this week, I’m sure it will keep laughing back at me.
Cheers J

Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive
After long consideration I sold mine. It is a beautiful knife, wonderfully well made, but I did not fit my hand and the blade was unfortunately too thick to be practical for me. I do miss it, but I don’t keep knives I don’t have at least some use for.
With the same breath - I would love to see mir of Mr. Schempp’s designs coming out as limited releases. I love my Schempp Bowie - that knife is a keeper (and sadly now discontinued)
