Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
This particular knife I decided to use the sharpmaker to re-profile. I went 15° per side on diamond/cbn rods and then 2-3 light passes per side at 40° On the brown rods.
It’s been a while since I used only the sharpmaker exclusively.
It’s stupid sharp.
Edit* I would say my experience is similar to CPM D2. Highly stainless, Good toughness, easy to sharpen, Nothing magical, just good (to me) and different. Love me some XHP in models when the other “super steels” are all the rage

That's a great picture.
If the bug was a bit less distorted, that would be a great calendar shot candidate.

It’s a plain edge Lil’ Matriarch, a Bento Box Shop exclusive I believe. The blade shape is a called a “reverse S”. The white scales are from the now very old Tom Sachs NASA-style sprint run of Delicas (and other Seki favorites). :)

Picked up a PM2 with CMP S45VN a couple weeks ago just to give one a try.

Current is a yojumbo with a homemade handle modification and a deep carry clip.
