Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
They are the same. Whoever updates the pages on Spyderco's website frequently leaves out the P.

I'm not sure exactly what is going on. This is the number from Spyderco.

Can you find it and can it cut?
Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
That's a relief. I was afraid I was going to have to sell my other kidney to pay for another super-rare variant.
Speaking of labels, I was able to get my hands on the ultra-top-secret limited release of the Paramilitary 3.
Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
Maxamet in stock pretty much everywhere. Anyone have thoughts on it?
Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
I think it is super, and too hard for my present sharpening kit. The knives are gorgeous though.
Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
Sadly, my enthusiasm for knives and spyderco have pretty much dried up. It's like they whored out the Para 3, cheapened it and then abandoned it. Good luck as there will always be another knife buyer but maybe it's time for me to stop wasting money when 1 or 2 knives will do and I certainly have that covered.

This is my latest carry. IMO, the skinny scales add a whole new dimension of ergo.Crux wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2019 9:23 pmSadly, my enthusiasm for knives and spyderco have pretty much dried up. Twenty five.
Not one, not two or three, twenty five variations of the same knife, and not one variation for the left handed.
Come on guys, lefties are 10% of population, give us some credit.

I’m sure it’ll happen eventually. But like the PM2 it’ll be a plain Jane s30v in black g10. I was totally on board to get one of those until they released a Cruwear in grey g10. Cruwear trumps handedness by a long shot. I have no trouble operating a righty compression lock lefthanded. Sure the novelty of having a lefty version would be nice but it wouldn’t knock a Cruwear out of pocket so I didn’t bother. Now there’s a place that bought up a bunch of the lefty pm2’s and “Smocked” them, perhaps they’ll do the same with pm3’s one day...pantagana23 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 12:49 pmTwenty five.

If you're wielding the sharpest tool in the shed, who's going to say that you aren't...?

Looks like the DLT M390 Para 3 is dropping soon. eBay has some collectors club versions up for sale.
Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
Really want a lefty version of the PM3. Any timeline of when a lefty will be available??

Sure wish the S45VN was up for preorder!
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Ha! I thought of Crux after I saw the reveal too

Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
I sincerely hope that the SPY27 LW will be the one that gets the left handed version.
It is, after all the 30th version of Para3.
I think we finally deserved it.

Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
I am not a lefty, but I would be definitely in at a lefty version.
Re: Spyderco Para 3 Varieties, News & Modifications
That is a lovely collection -- and I can understand your frustration, that said, there are 3 lovely new additions, I only have 7 Para3's, but I think I am going to add each and every one of the 3 new family members....
