Blacken screws and clip

#1

Post by Ruudr »

I’m planning to do a blade swap on my Para3 LW. Probably putting the black dlc CPM-M4 blade on it. To get a fully black knife I have to blacken the screws and pocket clip.

Does anyone have an idea how to do this?

I think you could get in touch with spyderco for the pocket clip. May cost something, not to sure. Dont know about the screws though. Give it a try and keeps us posted.

I've got a friend with some Kershaw model that actually just took his screws out and spray painted them with a flat blat. He carries it quite a bit, last time I looked at it it really didn't look bad at all. Pocket clip had some wear, but he didn't seem to mind. In terms of the pocket clip I'd probably just but a black one, especially if you plan on carrying it often and wouldn't want to keep re-painting it.
