Subvert C239GPOR
We have so much gold in the pipeline right now but this one is definitely near the top for me. I honestly get kinda googly-eyed while looking at its blade profile up against the orange and titanium. Who else is with me??

What situations would a blade shape like that be better for?
Re: Subvert C239GPOR
I hate the blade shape. It reminds me of the Zulu.

Re: Subvert C239GPOR
Theres definitely a lot here way more knowledgeable on this than me, I hope they jump in. Imo this shape screams "get out and get it done." The giant upswept belly provides superior chop cuts as well as good slicing ability. The very slight recurve further back gives multiple blade angels. In addition it also channels and stabilizes whatever you are cutting to a specific point on the blade (good for something like rope.)BornIn1500 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 5:53 pmWhat situations would a blade shape like that be better for?
Re: Subvert C239GPOR
This knife is right up my alley but the price is outrageous. I've already forgotten about it.
Re: Subvert C239GPOR
My mind says either folding machete or tactical spatula. :)

Re: Subvert C239GPOR
Definitely a good chunk of change but you are getting the woks on this one. A giant slab of S30V, thick skeletonized Ti liners, ball bearings, 3D contoured scales, G10 backspaer. Combine all this with the fact Taichung is putting it all together its easy to see why the price tag is what it is.
Lol. Thought folding machete since the first time I saw it but now I just want pancakes :)

Re: Subvert C239GPOR
This is definitely the knife I'm most excited to see in my mailbox, hopefully soon.
Re: Subvert C239GPOR
It's interesting but not for me. Had that huge belly been a more normal drop point profile it would he much more interesting

This one doesn't really appeal to me. There are too many other knives I'd rather have.

Re: Subvert C239GPOR
I love the shape of this and think it's beautiful. And the color, and the flat grind, and everything. It'd be a great hard-use folder for sure. But it's really thick and heavy, and I've learned over the years that that sort of thing really bothers me in knives, so I will be admiring it from afar rather than buying one. If they ever make an FRN version though, I'd probably get one.

Re: Subvert C239GPOR
It's a good looking knife. I like full Ti liners even with the weight penalty. It looks pretty solid. I'm not sold on the blade as recurves etc. make sharpening more difficult but if all else suited me it wouldn't stop me from buying.

Gotta say this seems like more of a collection piece like the Mamba. Would like to see a V2 with either a steel lock interface or comp lock.

Re: Subvert C239GPOR
I think it looks very interesting. I am most likely out because of the orange scales. Just not my thing.

Re: Subvert C239GPOR
Great looking design but it's too spendy for me personally and typically exposed liners cause hot spots

Probably an obvious statement black rit dye would be an option if you feel like getting crafty with this beaut.Archimedes wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 7:53 amI am most likely out because of the orange scales. Just not my thing.
