Para 3 Maxamet

Got mine today and it's my first Para 3. WOW! the size is absolutely perfect. Swore I would never buy a Para 3. Man was I wrong. Delicas are all back in the safe. The MGX clip makes this knife though. The Maxamet was so **** sharp I already cut myself.!

I will say that of all the knives I own, this one came perhaps the sharpest from the factory. Given how well Maxamet is supposed to hold its edge too, I'm wondering just how long it'll take before I need to give this a sharpen.

Has anyone managed to dull theirs yet?

I tried really hard to stick to that... and I swear (right after the hap40 wharn delica drops :rolleyes: ) I'm really going to stick to it next time.
And who likes going out to eat anyways? That's just expensive, bad for your diet, and lazy right? Just gonna enjoy some home cooked meals for a while

Man everyone wants that hap40 delica. I am also on board with that one. This knife was a no brainier no thinking purchase. Was going to get it no matter what lol

At least if you buy maxamet you can hold off on sharpening equipment for a little while haha

Spyderco makes too many gems. Dam you Spyderco. Darth Cholo's photo makes me want to hit the buy button yesterday. I had the Maxamet PM3 on order through Optics Planet for $154.00 free ship. Talked to a rep, who said there were 4 available through their 3rd party. Never saw anything come through with ship #, called back, they said they were out + a month out for any more to come in, so I cancelled the order. Now I am thinking I should have kept it and waited as everywhere else I am seeing it around $185.00. Been alot of ramen and tuna lately. New daughter eats and dresses better then I do. I really need to get off the internet and start working on my sharpening and bbq skills. But if I were to do that, I would have never gotten my PM2 M390 in blood red. And she's my favorite.

It's pretty much how I started collecting knives. Just buy a new one when the one i carried becomes dull. Dropped some money in a good sharpening system. Then I justified buying super steels since I had a good sharpening system and ended up buying more knives!

I said to myself that I'm not gonna buy it, even if it's Maxamet and even I like the gray G10
Because I already have S90V CF and Cruwear Para 3s
And I have a Maxamet Para2
I said that and that's final :D
