Wow, this old thread got ravaged by photobucket... Sad to see. There were some fantastic shots shared in here that disappeared!
Well, here's one from yesterday of a pair that was filling my pockets.

^ Fantastic combos there ^
I really like the thumb notch Rescues. Need to get my plain edge out for some use soon!
Haven't added to this thread in awhile, so here's a primo pair that compliment each other well. Some PE / SE contrast. The index and middle finger placement feel somewhat similar between designs, especially after the G10 is contoured on the Breeden.
Full credit to our very own Digdug for working over the Breeden for me! Thanks again!

Whoso list her hunt, I put him put of doubt,
As well as I may spend his time in vain.
And graven with diamonds in letters plain
There is written, her fair neck round about:
"Noli me tangere, for Caesar's I am,
And wild for to hold, though I seem tame."
--Whoso List to Hunt, Sir Thomas Wyatt (circa A.D. 1557).

Wow, those are some cool-looking older Spydies! What model are the serrated ones in your pics, Hattori Hanzo?
These aren't my favorite knives I own (that'd be my black serrated Native) but they're tied in second place:

I, too, love my black SE Natives. It is an awesome model. Thank you for the compliment. You have a sharp eye for detail.
The black SE pair is my nearly thirty-year-old "BEDC" (Before EDC) companions. The first one appears to be considered on the net as a "unicorn" (no such animal), that is to say, it is a FACTORY production, Ti-Ni black, slab-sided, forward-positioned-lock Police Model. The other is the same factory production, Ti-Ni black, original Mariner model, which is "accepted" as being "rare". (No offense to anyone, but these were not obtained from a "distributor". Simply put, I am the original owner, and The Man himself placed both of them in my hands.)
The second pair of SE knives are, of course, Mini Mariners. The one on the left was a gracious gift that Gail made in person. I later replaced the original chain and ring with Sterling silver ones. (I don't know if Sal will recall this story, but some time later, he and Gail told me that they were showing one to a gentleman who "accidentally" cut open his expensive leather jacket, not realizing that the miniature blade on the "tiny necklace knife" was wicked sharp! [Thank you Sal and Gail for all the fond memories! Much Aloha!])
Cheers,
H2

I am amazed at how similar the handle profiles are! I had a Breeden Rescue years ago. I really liked the ergos, but sold it eventually because of the blade profile (still upset about that).SpeedHoles wrote: ...

Your picture made it easy for me to order a Shaman!
