Announcing the 2024 OpFocus Factory Seconds Sale!
Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, 9 am - 3 pm (MDT)
This is an opportunity for qualified personnel to purchase Spyderco factory seconds, closeout items, and other select products at incredible discounts,...
This forum has some of the most kindhearted people that I have ever met . So many of you are always willing to help someone in need. It is for that reason that I felt I had to post this.
Recently there was someone who posted about challenges they were...
There has been some discussion and fair amount of frustration on the question of Spyderco choosing not to ship internal parts. The subject is far more complicated than it might appear on the surface. Some of the questions that...
SE are the bees knees and you need to get with the program. Just as with PE knives, not all SE knives are created equally and different combinations perform better than others. Towards the end there's a bit of why I'm bothering with all this if...
I’d like to thank all of you for the great information on the issue mentioned. My primary purpose for the thread was more to raise awareness that it is a problem and hope that just the greater awareness would help contribute...
I’ve been using my mint green M4 coated delica for a while and love the coating on it, it doesn’t flake even with abuse and has is nearly as easy to care for as stainless. It’s really fantastic wish I saw more seki tool steel spydercos with it.
This one has Sal written all over it ! Sal's design + lock + steel. The mighty Millie 2 in SPY27. I am going to purchase at least two of them !!! Can't wait ! :bug-red-white
I stripped the heads of my pivot screws on my Manix 2. Will Spyderco's warranty department send me replacements? I am also wondering about just sending the knife in since the whole reason I stripped the screws is because I was trying to get the...
I just wanted to start a discussion on the just announced Maxamet Sage 5 LW.
My thoughts: I’m a huge fan of the Sage series with the Sage 5 being my favorite due to the compression lock. This version upgrades the steel from S30V to Maxamet and has dark...
One Spyderco model that I cut my teeth on in the late 90s/early 2000s was my beloved C-44 Dyad(The Bigger one). I immediately feel in love with the concept of having a full SE and a full PE blade in one folder. Even the smaller Dyad Junior I found great...
With all of the new salts coming out I can’t help but imagine what a Pacific Salt 3 could look like… maybe it can have Black and Green scales like the Magnacut Pm2 or Caribbean but with a Magnacut blade.
Every week I see some really great pics on this forum so I thought we could have a weekly competition. The competition will last from Monday to Sunday and the winner and runner up will be announced on Sunday evening. The winner will be the judge for the...
For all of you who are smarter than me, what can we surmise based on Spyderco's analysis of VG XEOS. I realize that Spyderco is not 100% confident the numbers they posted, so we need to take the chart below with a grain of salt. I'm sure that heat treat...
I like the Chaparral, quite a lot. It is super thin and gives more blade than the Dragonfly in almost the same size package. I personally would like to see a Chaparral slip joint with SPY27.
I think it is time to move on from XHP as I like SPY27 better...
I thought the Titanium Tenacious was coming out in D2. In the reveal the steel reads, 8cr13mov.
I have no D2 in my collection, other than 1 junk D2, and I was hoping to get some D2 that I can believe in. Sure, I like the Spyderco treatment of 8cr13mov...
Now this is a cool little knife! And dressed in those elegant wooden scales it has ‘gentleman’ written all over it. I hope the spring has some good tension to it. I may need one.
Well, I feel like a little kid right now just waiting for Santa, in this case the Mail person. I am waiting on 3 Spydercos: a Delica super blue, Cat G10, and Pacific salt spyderedge. What's in the mail on your side of the woods?
That Spymyto is a sweet looking knife. Wonder when it will be released? Also pricing, hope it's more in the Swayback pricing range and not the Paysan...
Which steels have the most stable edges? people always say that it’s the toughest steels, but that’s not always true. Tough steals or shock resistant steels resistant to the point of not breaking weather dropped or through lateral force that doesn’t...
My Spyderco Endura 4 should arrive on Saturday, I purchased this knife from Amazon (sold and shipped).
Hi, I saw that some of you purchased from Amazon.
When the knife arrives, what details should I look...
So... like a lot of people I pulled the trigger on the Native Chief LW in the recent MAPnesty sale in April. I had wanted a Native Chief forever. In the interim I bought and sold at least one Native 5 LW . Some of the things I didn't like about that knife...
I love the Manix 2 XL - it’s a decent sized knife for rough work, sporting a rock solid lock up and intuitive ergonomics. It is the only folding knife I’ve ever used that hasn’t developed side to side blade play after a full day of hacking up plants (not...
So I finally wore out my Spyderco Double stuff.
Even though I mostly use Atoma diamond plates or Naniwa Wahetstones for most of my sharpening, I liked having the ceramic hand sharpener for touch-up and quick honing.
I’m considering just buying the medium...
I recently bought a Native 5 LW. I haven't had one of these since the original incarnation in S35VN steel which I sold years ago. On this new one, I'm experiencing something a bit weird. If the handle screw that goes in directly beneath the lockbar is in...
Hey everybody! Figured I would start a thread about Blade Show since it’s only a few weeks away. We definitely have a few forumites I know of for sure that will be there as well as some of my friends that frequent the seconds sale. It’ll be there first...
I’m trying to get some pesky excess threadlocker out of standoffs/screws on a PM2 with factory coated hardware and I am reaching the end of what I can get off with a pick. Does anyone know if the coating used will hold up to a soak in some...
