I just got one of the M4 LW's and I gotta say, for me, it's gonna replace just about everything I carried in the past.

It seems like it's been a CQI on many comp locks.

I love the look, but the family of 20cv/204P/M390 steels have been chippy in my experience. So I would love to see the Zoomer in a tougher steel that could stand up to a little rougher treatment. Make it 3V or 4V and I'd buy one.

Mine, from the original run, also does that. It is not the only Spyderco that has done it. I think someone called it blade lash.

It could also be a surface treatment, carburization I think, of the lockbar face.

Small debris from another steel transferred during belt grinding. That's my guess.

There is a finicky relationship between the stop pin and the pivot. If you aren't getting good action or you have blade play, try loosening or tightening the stop pin screw just a touch.

If the pocket clip is on the correct side for the pocket you carry it in, the blade should be pressed into the seam of your pocket.

Maybe you have the clip on the wrong side?

I went from zero P3LW to 2 P3LW this year. Really handy size for the weight. And way easier to clean out without liners/washer.
