Spydercos H1 knives are completely rustproof. In order for an H1 Military to make that claim, all components of it would also have to be made of rustproof metal. This would not only mean the blade itself, but also the liners, lock, clip, screws, standoffs, washers, lanyard tube, etc. I would suspect...

I guess I'm sitting on about 14 fake Para2's then because all of mine look exactly like the pics in post #1 of this thread (aside from color).

Welcome, I was once in your shoes as well. The sheer number of Spyderco models and variants can be overwhelming to a new collector. Hundreds of hours can be spent simply reading, researching and shopping. When I was new to Spyderco, I went nuts simply trying to buy any Spydie I found appealing. Whil...

I have nothing against you CTS, but I do wish you would stop talking about how you were talked to by Chris Reeve. It has been going on way to long IMO. I, for one am grateful and appreciative when this type of information is shared as it allows me to make an informed decision on whether or not I ch...

Very nice knife. It's been on my radar for quite some time now. Has the pocket clip on yours been relocated? There seem to be screw holes above the pivot.

Is bladeforums down or is the problem on my end?

For some reason, I can't browse BF today. Just curious.

There exists an FRN version of the C39 Dyad called the Dyad Jr. which was available in teal. I can't recall any other models off the top of my head though.

"we have decided to curtail the handle coloring process in favor of a bright silver finish ." The picture above, which looks to be the same picture in the Byte, looks like it has more of a dull, battleship grey finish, as opposed to their description of a bright silver finish, as would be ...

I remember he got fed up (justifiably so) with all of the *****ing and bickering over one of the knives and said he was taking a break from this place. Unsure if that meant permanent break.

Actually, it was to honor the DESIGNERS of the locks, and to use the designer's favorite handle materials. Therefore the term 'Sage'. As in wise. While it IS about lock designs, it's more about the tribute than just displaying different lock designs. The fact that it IS a tribute is what would make...

Changing the position of the "button" is not enough of a change to justify a separate model, IMO. Why not? Changing the pattern of etching was enough to justify a separate model of Chapparal, was it not? If I recall, the intent of the Chapparal series was to highlight different handle mat...

Nice pics and notes, everyone. Once again, the pics on this forum helped Spyderco sell another knife.

On a side note, I've been watching the exchange and don't see any of these popping up for sale. I guess that's an indication that the people who have them are holding on & not letting them go :)

It doesn't matter. In (almost) all instances, the burden of proof lies with the party making the assertion, whatever that assertion is.

Nope, you're just being obtuse about it. You are actually defending the right of BBS to be shady in the guise of saying customers should have rights. You think the guy who paid $400 wouldn't be happier paying $200? Wait, you'd probably say that nobody can guess what he thinks... :p BBS is actually ...
