Re: Clip screw failure of brand new Para 3 LW

I thought the non-torx side was keyed into a D-shaped hole? I haven't taken my P3LW apart, but I think my lil Native has the same arrangement. It would be quite strange to have nothing hold one side of the fastener.

Re: Pretty tight action PM3 LW

Wash it with hot soapy water. Sometimes they're gritty from the factory. If that doesn't help, loosen the pivot on the non lock side.

Re: Remove Loctite from G10

I'd try 99% isopropyl and if that doesn't work, some acetone or fingernail polish remover. G-10 is quite resistant to solvents, so it should not effect the color at all, whereas abrasives will change the texture a bit.

Re: Siren Difficulty

I backed the pivot screw out just a touch on the non-clip side. Once it drops shut, don't let other people handle it because they will get nipped by the blade.

Re: Why is the Rockjumper so great??

Evil D- mine has developed more up and down jiggle than I thought it would. Not anything like the Siren lock issue, but still a little disappointing. Keep us posted what Golden says.

Re: Question, Comp. lock

Lil Native feels great in hand. I'm XL in gloves and still get a very adequate grip with 3+ fingers. They are impressively stout for a Lil knife, but also feel like nothing clipped to a pocket.

Re: Wharncliffe Para Military 2 CUTLERY SHOPPE EXCLUSIVE

I agree Julia. After using the Rockjumper all summer, I have gotten accustomed to the increased cutting pressure of a wharncliffe blade shape. The tip shape is quite useful for detail work.

Re: Wharncliffe Para Military 2 CUTLERY SHOPPE EXCLUSIVE

https://i.imgur.com/LVkKJnL.jpg With a nearly 8 year old, first run 204P. It's fugly. After trying the SE Rockjumper, I kept thinking I like compression locks better than lockbacks. I wasn't even really paying much attention to new models as I was trying to purchase fewer...That only kind of worked...

Re: Siren - strange lock movement

Mine does it. So coupled with my grip loosening the lock and making the blade feel rattly, and the very narrow margin for avoiding the blade when closing it, I'm going to sell my Siren. I don't think it's unsafe, there are just too many idiosyncrasies to the knife for me to think about while handlin...

Re: SpyOpera, Brouwer, ...

I have the original Brouwer. It's deep carry and shaped kind of like a canoe paddle. On the original hole pattern Brouwer, it sits just right in the pocket and it lines up well with your hand so it gives no hot spots.

That looks nice! I think because it's kinda small in my hands, mine has always felt a little slippery. I love that combo of colors, plus the improved traction.

Brouwer is a true sleeper. They are so smooth and have great ergonomics.

I'd add the new slipit Lil Native (just shown in the newest Reveal), although no one knows when those will be released

I always wash the production oil off with hot water and soap blow the knife out with compressed air, and then oil the pivot and detent with Ballistol.

Look inside the handle and see if the blade can make contact with the lock mechanism when the lock is depressed.
