Re: How about a salt mule?
I think an H1 mule (or equivalent "non-corrosion" steel) is an excellent idea.
I don't think people realise what they're missing in H1.
Count me in.

Dropped my Resilience point first today!
I froze in horror, watching my much-loved Spyderco Resilience fall, tip-first toward the tiled kitchen floor below. There was a sickening chipping sound and I heard a second impact as a piece flew off and struck the skirting board. In my mind I was already contemplating the options for re-grinding o...

Re: Report on m4 corrosion resistance
Thanks, Surfgringo.
My M4 Manix stained easily but now has a good patina.
My Gayle Bradley shows no signs of corrosion.
My M4 mule has some pitting.
All see similar use and after care. I don't know if variations in heat treat would explain this. Difference in use is just as likely.

Re: Best Fixed Blade Spydie...
I've used Mules, South Fork, Bushcraft, Caspian and Warrior for EDC, deer, bushcraft and carving (Caspian only used as dive/fishing/EDC knife). I used an original Ackerman Serrata for EDC/deer and bushcraft, though I haven't used the Spydie version. If I could have just one of the above, it would be...

Re: Any Used the Southfork for Big Game
I used mine for deer. Took some video footage, too (one handed!)
Unsurprisingly it works well and the sheath is easy to clean. Personally, I prefer a drop-point for processing game; easier for work in the abdomen (catches less) and skinning.

Video test: Tuff versus deer thorax.
Part 1: Warning, dead animal pics and footage: Here is my previous review of the Tuff on this forum. The knife has continued to be used in a similar manner and is performing well. I was butchering a deer the other day and thought I'd give the Tuff a bit of a work out. I tried a one-handed video of m...

Sadly there probably isn't really anything that will be hugely effective. Maybe it could be slowed a little by limiting it to 2 per credit card/paypal account. I ended up with 4 of the K390 mule, instead of 2 mules and two forum Natives (separate orders), due to an ordering error (most likely mine)...
