I acquired a C36CFP Military with date code KE (Nov. 2005?)It has a CPMS30V blade with a Carbon Fiber handle. I understand this to be the very first run of Carbon Fiber Military, with only 400 made in S30V.
My question for the experts: mine has an unusual jimping pattern. Could someone confirm that the pattern pictured here is in fact correct to this specific model / year?
Thanks.

Looks to be Spyderco's early "Dinosaur Jimping." I'm not a Millie expert, so can't answer your question with precision, but that large-peak jimp style is consistent with earlier Spyderco large folders.
I found dino jimping painful. Perhaps others did, too, hence the change. Fans of the original dino jimping vigorously disagree, of course.

C36CFP CC# 075V has the old style dino jimping on the spine and the finer jimping on the choil, so you should be good. Side note: that's actually an intermediate pattern, between the tank tread and current pattern.

Thanks very much. I like how lightweight this knife is. Really a feather weight for such a large blade.
