Sharpening Spydiechef with Sharpmaker

I’m a wharncliffe guy and just picked up a 2nd hand Spydiechef. Never tried sharpening a blade with this much belly. Any tips for a novice sharpener trying to tune up a Spydiechef on a Sharpmaker?

I just use a regular cutting motion on mine. If find it's a really nice steel to do on a Sharpmaker.

Thanks guys! I think I suck at keeping the blade dead vertical when doing my strokes. Will try some of these tips. Appreciate it!
