Re: Fillet knife
Back in the early 90's Spyderco had a 6" full flex fillet knife with an optional ABS "blade guard for field use" in their Kitchen Sharps line. I suspect it sold poorly, as it didn't last long. That said, in the 25+ years since then, the internet has radically changed the way knives are marketed, so it may be time for them to offer a new fillet knife.

Interesting concept Paul. I found a few of these in the "Boxes in my office" as I was rummaging around for some knives to bring to the Eugene show for the club members. I don't have any of the plastic covers though.

Is Lc200n an option for a thin flexible filet knife?

Isn't there an upcoming Phil Wilson filet knife?

Re: Fillet knife
I would buy a 6"+ fillet knife Sal. MBS-26, VG-10 or something along those lines would suit and probably suit the market as well.

On LC, we'res still testing, but the thinner stock is much more expensive due to increased rolling.DirtMcGirt wrote: ↑Sun Apr 01, 2018 9:54 amWould love to buy one...sal wrote:...found a few of these in the "Boxes in my office" as I was rummaging around for some knives to bring to the Eugene show for the club members. Thanks Sal, at least we'll know not to hold our breath. Not that I need another fillet knife, but would love to gift some Spydies to my kids. Guess others will have to fill the void.
Re: Fillet knife
Id buy one of these. Would be perfect for me where it is Salty plus love the folding aspect.atv223 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 01, 2018 7:17 amYou mean like this? https://spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=702
Been looking since seeing this post in case anyone has one listed but nothing out there.
Sal, if you find any old stock, I'd buy one (or two!) Serrated or PE.

Re: Fillet knife
There are many who get by ok with inadequate quality fillet knives. It's the same crowd that thinks gas station folders are fine. I appreciate excellent quality in my fillet knives and constantly improving my skill with them. I have several high end fillet knives from Germany. Very good products but I'd rather have spyder on the side. :) Thanks Sal for your consideration.

Re: Fillet knife
I don't think I had more than 10. I'll count tomorrow. I don't want to sell more than we have.
