Etched Cricket Mod?

#1

Post by hoshyoto »

Hey guys,

I was thinking about picking up a SE Cricket and an etched Cricket and swapping the blades so that I could have a SE etched Cricket. Has anyone tried this? Any potential problems that you could foresee with doing this?

Thanks,

Jeff

I've done it already =D. I think its a great combo. Let me see if I can find some pics.

Here is a horrible pic I took a while back. Lets hear it for cell phone cams!

BTW I've bought 3 crickets so far. 2 for the swap, and 1 for my ex-GF. Gave the other one away and now I just have my creation =)

Cool! I figured either someone (or many someones) had already done it or I was missing something about why there was no way it could be done. Thanks for letting me know it's doable. Was it fairly simple, or were there any trouble areas I should look out for?

Just make sure you don't pinch the washers when taking it apart. That and not to lose any of the parts. A screw fell off mine and landed in the carpet...

This is usually my weekend combo btw. :p
