A new guy - Spydie lover

Howdy, you all. I've been "lurking?" here for quite a while and finally decided to join you. It's really nice to know there are a bunch of you who love knives like me and like to talk about them (especially SPYDERCOS).
Well ... I used to buy mostly Benchmades and have a nice Camillus Dominator, etc. I bought a Delica 3 one day & gave it away - I wasn't used to the feel/shape of it. Well, I've always thought the Military LOOKED beautiful, but was probably too big, so I went out on a limb and got a Paramilitary. What an awesome knife!! Shape-feel-steel-handle material-edge
geometry....... Of course I got a Military - black blade - so light & tough.
The rest is history. All I use now are Spydercos - I don't even like a blade without a HOLE - thumbstuds just don't cut it at all anymore. I'm so used to the feel of the hump, I find others don't feel right, and, though designed for use, Spydercos are BEAUTIFUL. There must really be a Spyderco bug & I done
got bit.
I only have 14 Spydies so far ( I am married - youknowwhatI'msayin' ?).
If I ever figure out how to post pictures, I will. By the way, this forum, and
all you all's beautiful photography are costing me money, but I'm not complaining - couldn't BE any better advertising! :D
My Spydies are:
- Rescue 79mm
- Centofante 3
- Centofante 4
- D3
- D4
- D4 wave
- Salt 1
- E4
- E4 wave
- Native
- Wegner
- Paramillie
- Millie black blade S30V
- Manix
Sal, if you make an FRN VG10 Stretch I'll take 2! - or G10 - I haven't tried
ZDP 189, but I'd prefer laminated if I did. I DON'T pry with a knife, but I'd
apreciate the toughness.
Okay, I think I rambled on long enough. P.S. Thank you, Sal for inventing the one hand opener and pocket clip - I'd rather do without sliced bread.
- best wishes, Jazz.

Welcome aboard Jazz, I think there is more than one Wegner. Which do you have the pleasure of owning?

Welcome Jazz!

You have 14 Spydies and joined this great forum - at the time I joined in, I had 2 Spydies (Delica 3 and Military). My small piece of advice: Try to resist for more, I can't ;)

Enjoy your stay among :spyder: hooked Clipiteers! :D

PS: Greetings to Mrs. Jazz! Does she love pink? Delica 4 in Pink maybe? :p

Thank you all for the warm welcome, firstly.

I didn't know there were more than one Wegner model, besides large &
small, but I have a large PE ATS34. Thanks for asking, Zenheretic. Are there
other models - older - different steel? I really like the useful shape and
comfortable handle. Iwish I'd bought the small one, too that I handled :(

As for my better half, she has a small SA with a memory chip in it. I haven't
converted her to Spydies yet. Accually, we were just talking - I need her help to figure how to post pictures - and apparently I'm wierd because
"they all look the same anyway". She is going to help me, though. I love her :)

Jazz, I know of the Wegner, Wegner Jr., and I believe the Ocelot is his as well, not to mention the Mouse.

Thanks again - you guys & gals are awesome :)
I'm not really complaining - I don't NEED more Spydies - I just WANT
them. I think all y'all can relate. Thanks again, Zenheretic - I forgot about those other Wegner models.
I'm looking forward to a yellow Pacific Salt soon. My small one is my most-
carried & used around home. I love it. I really like the style of jimping on it.
It grips great & doesn't feel uncomfortable. I made the tip slightly more pointy. Just needed a little for my uses.
I'll have to carve some more necklaces & sell them to the waitresses where I work to afford it, though. That's how I'm able to feed my "addiction".

- best wishes, Jazz.
